We are the people you call when the plan has already failed.
Fiasco Consultancy Limited has spent 18 years doing the work that starts after something has gone wrong — and the work that stops it going wrong again.
It started with a project nobody wanted to touch.
In 2008, three partners left Big Four practice in Nairobi over a disagreement that turned out to be a business model. They had just handed a client a diagnostic on a failing programme — a good one — and watched the programme fail anyway, because nobody stayed to make the recommendations happen.
Fiasco was built to close that gap. The name is deliberate: it is the word clients use when they call. We took the work other firms declined because it was messy, contentious, or already on fire, and we made staying through execution the thing we sell.
Since then the practice has grown to 300+ completed engagements across 6 countries, with dedicated forensic, transformation and analytics lines — but the original test has not changed. If we cannot see the outcome through, we do not take the engagement.
To make organisational failure survivable — and then unlikely.
Containment first, because you cannot fix what is still burning. Diagnosis second, because fixing the wrong thing quickly is still failure. Then execution, and only then the controls that make it the last time.
We stay through execution
The report was never the hard part. Every engagement includes someone from Fiasco accountable for the plan actually happening, not just for writing it.
We tell you if you do not need us
The fastest way to lose a client for a decade is to sell them work they did not need. If the honest answer is a smaller engagement, or none, that is the answer you get.
We work to evidential standards
Anything that might end up in front of a regulator, a lender or a court is documented as though it will be. That discipline does not cost more; it just gets decided up front.
One accountable point of contact
Boards in a crisis do not need five conflicting accounts. They need one named person who owns the situation and reports on it daily.
Four stages, run the same way every time.
Contain
Hours to days
We deploy, take command of the incident, and stop the loss. Assets are secured, records are preserved, and your board gets one accountable point of contact instead of five conflicting accounts.
Diagnose
2–6 weeks
Forensic reconstruction of what actually happened and why. We separate the presenting symptom from the binding constraint, because fixing the wrong thing quickly is still failure.
Resolve
3–9 months
A recovery plan with named owners, dated milestones and measurable outcomes — then we stay and execute it with you, rather than handing over a document and leaving.
Fortify
Ongoing review
Controls, governance and training so the same failure cannot recur. We measure the organisation against its own new standard before we close the engagement.
