Who we are

A consultancy built for the situations nobody planned for.

Fiasco was founded in 2008 by three partners who left Big Four practice for a simple reason: the report was never the hard part. Staying through execution was.

Today we do two things. We take command when something is going wrong right now — an incident, an investigation, a project in freefall, a story about to break. And we build the strategy, operations and controls that mean an organisation does not need us a second time.

What we do

Nine services, two pillars, one standard.

Every engagement is scoped in writing before it starts — what is included, what you receive at the end, and how long it takes.

Crisis & Recovery

For organisations dealing with something that is going wrong right now.

Strategy & Performance

For organisations building the capability to not need us next time.

How we work

Contain. Diagnose. Resolve. Fortify.

The same four stages run on every engagement, whether it starts at 3am with a shutdown or on a Tuesday with a board paper.

01

Contain

Hours to days

We deploy, take command of the incident, and stop the loss. Assets are secured, records are preserved, and your board gets one accountable point of contact instead of five conflicting accounts.

02

Diagnose

2–6 weeks

Forensic reconstruction of what actually happened and why. We separate the presenting symptom from the binding constraint, because fixing the wrong thing quickly is still failure.

03

Resolve

3–9 months

A recovery plan with named owners, dated milestones and measurable outcomes — then we stay and execute it with you, rather than handing over a document and leaving.

04

Fortify

Ongoing review

Controls, governance and training so the same failure cannot recur. We measure the organisation against its own new standard before we close the engagement.

In their words

What clients say when the dust settles.

Attributed by role rather than by name — most of this work is covered by non-disclosure, and we would rather be accurate than impressive.

They took command on day one. Within a week we had one version of the facts instead of five, and the board finally had something it could act on. That alone changed the outcome.
Chief ExecutiveManufacturing group, Nairobi · Rapid Crisis Intervention
The forensic report was the first document in the whole matter that nobody could argue with. Thorough, properly evidenced, and it held up when it was tested.
Audit Committee ChairListed company, East Africa · Forensic Audit & Investigation
Our project had been written off by two previous advisors. Fiasco found the actual constraint in three weeks — and it was not the one everyone had spent a year arguing about.
Programme SponsorInfrastructure client · Project Turnaround & Recovery
They got us ahead of the story when we had a day and a half. We ended up being the credible source on our own incident, and that is entirely down to how they sequenced it.
